Blog soundtrack:
I somewhat have a guest blogger today; her name is Dee. Dee sent me this comic this morning. And, if you’ve read my previous blogs, you’ll probably laugh as hard as I did when I saw it. Thanks for that, Dee; it made my day and this blog!
I was out riding my bike with Bill today. We biked 30 miles, and it was 70 degrees out, wooo-hooo! Usually when pedaling along I think, “Oh, I shouldn’t ride for hours today. I should really be home trying harder to find a job,” but today, I kept thinking about this comic and laughing for ever letting that second interview get me down. I guess sometimes it’s just easier to sit in the dark than turn on the light.
When I took a shower, I cut my leg shaving. I applied a band-aid. (Yes, it was a Hello Kitty band-aid! But, they're Iz's; okay, that's not true. They are mine!) It made me think that if a band-aid can make a wound feel a little better, then why can’t you apply band-aids of sorts to emotional wounds as well. So, I decided that next time the job situation gets me down, instead of feeling blue, I shall medicate with band-aids. Well, I shall medicate with my kind of band-aids, of course! ♥

Rx: Watch video of Thunderbolt sneezing 3-4 times or more often if additional laughter needed.
Update on Nathan’s Soccer Playoffs Note: They lost 2-0 to Maynard tonight. Maynard was undefeated for the season. After the game, I texted Nathan to tell him that they really did a good job and held their own against Maynard, because Maynard is the number one seed. (Thanks to Tomas for that tibit!) Nathan’s response was “Yeah, whatever.” Err, so much for my motherly “You’ll get ‘em next year” pep talk. I’d better work on that one before the hockey season starts!
I was then later phoned by Nathan and told that I must show up at school promptly at 2pm. Yes, I was to plan no biking, make no plans with friends, and could not pass Go nor collect $200! Why? We needed to go to Game Stop to pick up Nathan’s reserved copy of Modern Warfare, “the greatest game in the world!” he happily said. Rx: Take two minutes to call your Mom for a ride to Game Stop, and forget all about your soccer loss in the morning!
